Yuanxiong Cao, Matteo Albino, Inga Van den Bossche and Yue Shao awarded Rosetrees Trust PhD Plus Grants
Congratulations to Yuanxiong, Matteo, Inga and Chris for securing additional funding to support the final year of their PhD. This award will help them to add significant value and push their research a step closer to clinical applications.
Yuanxiong will optimise his magnetic microrobot-based platform to produce hemostatic films for gastrointestinal defect repair. Matteo will focus on validation of a versatile SERS-based diagnostic platform using clinical samples from endometriosis patients. Inga will develop a point-of-care test to monitor molecular markers in breast cancer, supporting early detection of metastasis and improved clinical decision-making. Chris will continue engineering tissue-like hydrogels for use in advanced biomedical applications.
The Rosetrees Trust funds research in all areas of medicine that benefit human health and well-being and we are very grateful for their continued support.
