Oliver Mahony wins multiple awards

Oliver Mahony was awarded one of five College Student Awards for Outstanding Achievement (valued at £250) in recognition of his outstanding sporting achievements on Great Britain's rowing team. Oliver is currently in the Great Britain Men's Lightweight Pair and has raced at the 2009 World Cup meetings and the World Cup in Poland, where he finished 5th in the world.

In addition to this, Oliver won best oral presentation at the 22nd Annual Meeting of the European Society for Biomaterials in Lausanne, Switzerland, for his paper "Silica-Gelatin Hybrid Scaffolds with Controlled Degradation and Mechanical Properties".
