Congratulations to Dr Maria Azevedo who has been awarded a prize for her PhD work. Maria received the Larry Hench Biomaterials Prize in recognition of excellence in a PhD in a Biomaterials related subject, named in honour of Professor Larry L. Hench who invented bioactive glass and was a founder of the field of bioactive ceramics.
